Larry Doyle Takes on New Responsibilities as Conair Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing

Larry Doyle

Larry Doyle, who joined Conair in June 2006 as Vice President, Marketing, has been promoted to Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing.

“This move strengthens our efforts to become more market-driven and customer-oriented by formally uniting the marketing and sales functions,” explains Chris Keller, President of Conair, who made the announcement. “It also acknowledges the increasing importance of being able to serve our customers on a global basis, with total integration of these functions in North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America.”

Doyle has over twelve years of sales, marketing and product management experience in the plastics machinery industry, most recently serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for Demag Plastics Group before joining Conair. From 1999 to 2006, he held a series of progressively more responsible positions in both sales and marketing with the Demag organization. During that time he helped develop, manage and rationalize the Demag product lines on a global basis, and played an integral role in defining Demag’s global corporate and brand strategies. Prior to joining Demag, he was product manager for Autojectors, a manufacturer of vertical injection-molding machines, which became part of Milacron Inc. in 1998.

Conair is well established in the global plastics marketplace. The Company has been on the ground in Europe since 1974. It has had a substantial presence in Latin America since 1972, and in Asia since 1979. Just this year, Conair has formed a joint venture company called Nu-Vu Conair Pvt. Ltd., to manufacture and sell most of its plastics processing auxiliary equipment in India. And, back in June, Conair teamed up with sister company, Rapid Granulator AB of Sweden, to open a 3000-square-meter (32,000-square-foot) factory in Shanghai, which is already manufacturing dryers and material handling equipment for the East Asia market.
